Refill Please

This is just a fun project with Jamie experimenting with different techniques for animating text when he was gong through a phase of being fascinated by how liquid works in motion graphics.

I created the whole animation in Adobe After Effects. I used a technique known as ‘trim paths’ on shape layers. Once I had chosen the desired colour scheme from Pinterest, it was a simple case of setting the typeface into a 2.5D environment, placing a camera and lights as well as a floor and background.

This animation of course is very simple, but it displayed the start of an interesting idea that could be expanded upon o make much more elaborate effects.
